Watch the movie The Young Karl Marx (2017), directed by Haitian filmmaker Raoul

Watch the movie The Young Karl Marx (2017), directed by Haitian filmmaker Raoul Peck. The movie takes place in several European cities in the 1840s, and shows the beginnings of the intellectual and political partnership between Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels (who co-authored much of their work).
A lot of the history and characters in the movie will likely be new to you, so we do not expect you to understand everything that happens in the movie, but we expect you to recognize characters, places, situations, and political contexts of 19th century Europe.
For this assignment, write three (3) different questions about issues, characters, or scenes in the movie that you did not understand, that intrigued you, made you curious, or for which you felt you needed more context.
Choose one of the questions and do research (online and/or offline) in order to answer it. The goal is that after your research you understand the movie better (and therefore Marx and Engels’s context and ideas).
Do not settle for the first source you find online. Evaluate if it is a good source of information or not. Find at least another source. If a source cites another source, trace it and read it (and see where the authors get their information from). Keep looking and score the sources for reliability until you find the ones that you judge the most reliable.
Do not simply copy or paraphrase sources. Read, process in your mind and your notes, and write the answer in your own words.
Your assignment should include:
The three questions.
The answer to your chosen question.
A short paragraph on the research process and a description of the sources you used to answer the question. How did you score the sources and why?
Cited sources at the end.

A rhetorical academic text (6000-7000 words) on a topic related to my major. I am a fashion promotion undergraduate.
The topic i have chosen meant to discover the relationship of technology and the sociology of dress, under the context of the surveillance age or 4th industrial revolution.
The idea is taken from the notion that people dress to either be unique/standout or to blend in. And this notion of dress is becoming increasingly prevalent in an age of technology, where everyone is surveillanced, or seen at all time.
Key resources I’d like to be included in this dissertation would be:
1. Hans Eijkelboom’s photo series of mass fashion – you can find this via the link in the “Dressing for the Surveillance Age” Doc.
2. Techno Fashion. “Surveillance” by Bloomberg Fashion Library
3. Why Women Wear What They Wear
4. John Berge, Way of Seeing (optional)

The goal for this final project is for you to demonstrate what you have learned

The goal for this final project is for you to demonstrate what you have learned in this class about
social justice and to exhibit that understanding through a project that illustrates what social
justice means to you/what particular form of social justice you want to
describe/embrace/illuminate/educate/advocate. Your final project should be able to
1. Show an understanding of social justice
2. Illustrate a specific example of social justice that is meaningful for you
3. Contain a “Works Cited” of resources/texts/websites/media that you have
researched/utilized for your final project – you may use as many texts from our class as
you like, but you should also include at least 3 sources from outside class – sources can
come from a variety of places: the library, social media, the Internet.
Please follow MLA
citation guidelines/practices for any paper you submit. All final projects (and abstracts) are due on Monday, November 28 by midnight Mountain TimeOPTION 1: A traditional research paper (7-8 pages/2,100-2,400 words)
The central intellectual intervention that your paper will answer is: what did you learn in this
class? Keep in mind #1-3 above—this paper is not a summary of the course; rather, this paper is
meant to allow you to do a deeper dive into one of the themes of social justice covered in this
class or for you to talk about an issue of social justice that we haven’t adquately touched upon
(ex: discussing class inequality, while a running theme, is not a main focus within this class,
though it is vastly important to address class/income inequality as social justice).Include terms such as intersectionality, and make sure to answer what Social Justice actually is.
